I am 56 years old and I have Lynch Syndrome. This past year I had a polyp that came back as precancerous. Do I need to be doing anything different than I have since I was in my 20’s. Every year I have my colon and stomach checked. My father and grandfather both had colon cancer and both died from stomach cancer. I have had cousins that have had colon cancer one as young as 26. My doctor said his norm come back in two years. I always go back in a year.

Hi @nsramsey , Way to go on being so good about getting your screening! The answer is no, you just need to keep doing exactly what you are doing. Get your colonoscopy and EGD done every 1-2 years. IT is great that they caught the polyp before it turned into cancer. That is way you are screened so often, so that if you do have a colon polyp it can be removed before it ever becomes cancerous. Keep up the good work!
